About Santa Calls
a Maine workshop ✦
Santa Calls is a small, family-built service that delivers a live, personalized phone call from Santa to a child's parent on the date and time the parent chooses. We made it because we couldn't find one we trusted.
Why we built it
The existing "call from Santa" products on the market fall into two buckets: recorded scripts that say a child's name once and feel hollow, or live human services that sell hard, schedule poorly, and never quite deliver the moment. Neither felt like the magic we remembered.
What changed is that real-time AI voice technology is finally good enough — natural, warm, present — to power a true conversation rather than a recording with a name inserted. We use that technology in service of one thing: a real-feeling call between Santa and a kid who'll remember it for years.
What's different about us
We are parent-controlled. Every detail Santa knows about a child comes from a parent or guardian who consciously typed it in. Nothing is scraped, inferred, or guessed.
We are privacy-respecting. Calls aren't recorded by default. Child profiles can be deleted any time. We don't sell or share data, and we don't run advertising trackers on family flows. See our Privacy Policy for specifics.
We are small on purpose. A small operation answers emails faster, issues refunds without a fight, and ships fixes the day a parent reports a problem. You can reach us at info@santacalls.live and a real human will respond.
Who we are
Santa Calls is built and operated by Folsom Holdings, LLC, a Maine limited liability company. Folsom Holdings is a small portfolio operator behind a handful of consumer and software products; Santa Calls is one of them.
The founding inspiration for the Santa voice is a grandfather: a Maine humorist who recorded hours of storytelling on CDs. The long-term roadmap includes cloning his voice so the Santa your kids meet sounds like the one in our family. We're not there yet — for now we use a carefully selected commercial voice — but that's where we're headed.
The technology, in plain terms
When you arrange a call, the personalization you enter is composed into a scenario prompt for a real-time voice model. When the time comes, our service places a normal phone call to your verified number through a standard telephone carrier; when you answer, the model talks with you, hears you, and responds in real time. The whole exchange happens in well under a second of round-trip latency, which is why it feels like a conversation rather than a player-piano.
If you'd like the deeper technical picture — sub-processors, data flows, retention windows — it's all spelled out in our Privacy Policy.
